Description
Check whether you need a cam follower (stud) or a roller follower (yoke). They look similar, but the mounting is different.
A cam follower is a stud-mounted roller bearing that runs on a track or cam. It is used in conveyors, assembly machines, cam mechanisms and linear tracks where a roller must follow a surface under load.
Key Features
- The stud carries the bearing, so thread size and length matter
- Outer roller diameter and width define the contact surface
- Needle-roller types carry higher load; check the roller type in the code
- Hex socket or slot in the stud head helps with tightening
