OSG New Roll Form Tap (Steel, V-Coated)

A thread forming (roll form) tap that creates internal threads by cold forming rather than cutting, used on ductile materials. Common on CNC machining centers and tapping machines for strong, chip-free threads.

  • Forms the thread by displacing metal, so it makes no chips.
  • Needs a larger pre-drilled hole than a cutting tap; use the form-tap drill size.
