A survey tripod is the stability the instrument sits on. The thread decides what mounts: 5/8"-11 for levels and total stations, 1/4"-20 for small lasers.

- 1040–1590 mm, 5/8"-11 (15.8 mm) (BST-1060C)
Key Features
- Check the thread — 5/8"-11 and 1/4"-20 are not interchangeable
- Elevating (crank) heads raise the instrument without disturbing the setup
- Spread the legs wide and tread the points in; most setup error starts here
