Using a scale to buy or sell goods by weight normally requires approval in the country of use — NTEP in the United States, MID/OIML in Europe — which these models do not carry. CAS Digital Counting Scale 2.5 kg–25 kg
A counting scale weighs one piece, then reports how many pieces are on the pan. Accuracy depends entirely on how consistent the parts are and how good the sample count was.

Key Features
- Sample a larger count for small, variable parts — ten pieces is rarely enough
- Piece weight is stored, so repeat counts of the same part are one keypress
- Not a substitute for weighing when the parts vary in mass
