Description
Type-approved for regulatory noise measurement in Korea. This model carries Korean Ministry of Environment type approval, which is what makes it usable for legally reportable noise measurement in Korea and is a large part of its price. That approval has no standing outside Korea. As an instrument it is IEC 61672-1 Class 2, the same class as the cheaper handheld meters here — what you gain over them is integrating measurement (Leq, SEL, Lmax/Lmin), datalogging, and a 30 dB noise floor. If you do not need those, the handheld models measure to the same class for a fraction of the price.
