FILTEC Wire Thread Insert M3–M16 3D
A wire thread insert is a diamond-section stainless coil that lines a stripped or soft-metal hole with a fresh, hardened thread. It is the standard repair for aluminium, magnesium and cast iron castings, and is also fitted new where a joint will be assembled and dismantled repeatedly.

Key Features
- Restores the original bolt size — no oversize fastener needed
- Stainless coil resists galling and seizing in aluminium
- Length given in diameters (1D, 1.5D, 2D, 2.5D, 3D) — longer coils carry more load
- Requires the matching oversize (STI) tap and an insertion tool
