An analog earth resistance tester measures the resistance of a grounding electrode to the surrounding soil, using two auxiliary spikes driven into the ground. Electricians and inspectors use it to verify ground rods and earthing systems at buildings, substations and plants. The needle display needs no screen backlight.
Key Features
- Drive the auxiliary spikes in a straight line at the specified spacing
- Disconnect the electrode from the installation before measuring
- Check the test leads and spikes for clean contact before each job
