Overview
The TSUBAKI torque limiter protects drives from overload by slipping when torque exceeds a set value. A sprocket, pulley or gear is clamped between friction facings by an adjustable spring, so the slip torque can be tuned. When a jam occurs, the limiter slips instead of letting chains, gears or motors fail, then resumes once cleared.
