Description
SMC AW30-F03E-D — AW-D series modular filter regulator, 3/8" port, with a built-in check valve that lets downstream air escape when the supply is cut. Filter and regulator in one body, so the air preparation set is shorter and needs less piping.

Features of the D series
- Filter and regulator in one body — shorter set, fewer joints
- Reshaped handle, easier to grip when releasing the lock
- Two-layer transparent case guard covering the full circumference, so the bowl and drain level can be checked from any side (360° visibility)
- Panel mount compatible with the earlier AW(K)-B series; brackets and set nuts are common to both generations
Why the 360° guard matters
On a machine the filter bowl usually ends up facing a frame or a wall, and the drain level goes unchecked until water carries over. A guard that is transparent all the way round lets the operator read the bowl from wherever they happen to be standing, and the second layer protects it from knocks and coolant.
Replacing an AW(K)-B unit
The D series replaces the AW20-AW60-B, which SMC discontinued in March 2025. Panel mounting, brackets and set nuts carry over, so an existing installation usually takes the new unit without rework. Send us the old code and we will confirm the matching D specification.
