Head flange mounting
The G mounting puts a flange on the head end — the end the rod comes out of — so the cylinder bolts through a plate with the body behind it and the rod working in front. It is the arrangement to use when the cylinder sits inside a frame and the load is on the other side of a panel, and it carries the thrust straight into the plate rather than through a bracket.
Switches supplied with the cylinder
The Z73 suffix means the auto switches are specified as part of the cylinder, fitted and set at the factory rather than ordered separately and mounted on site. On a ø63 cylinder with 350 mm of travel that saves the setup time and avoids the usual mistake of ordering a switch that does not suit the groove.
What changed in the Z generation
Mass reduced by up to 15% against the previous design, with mounting dimensions unchanged, and the air cushion made easier to adjust — which matters at this bore and stroke, where the piston carries real momentum into the end cover.

Order by the full code CDA2G63-350Z-Z73. Bore, stroke, mounting, magnet and switch type are all in the code. The CA2 series was discontinued in September 2013 and replaced by CA2-Z; if your machine carries a plain CA2 code, this generation is where the replacement comes from.
