Long stroke on a compact body
At 100 mm this is near the top of the practical stroke range for a compact cylinder. The body is still much shorter than a tie-rod unit of the same bore and stroke, but at over a kilogram the mounting has to be treated as a structural fixing rather than a bracket job — check plate thickness and bolt size against the thrust before fitting.
Why the rubber bumper version
A compact cylinder has no air cushion. At this bore and stroke the piston carries real momentum into the end cover, so the bumpers matter — they absorb the impact, cut the knock at each stroke end and extend the life of the cylinder.
