SMC CQ2B63-15DMZ — CQ2 Z series compact cylinder, ø63 bore with 15 mm stroke, double acting single rod. A large bore on a very short stroke, which is where the compact body pays off most.

Force without length
At ø63 the piston area is about four times that of a ø32 cylinder, so thrust rises accordingly — roughly 1,870 N at 0.6 MPa. A tie-rod cylinder of the same bore would be several times longer overall; here the whole unit is barely deeper than the bore, which is what allows that force to be fitted inside a press frame or a clamping fixture.
