Long stroke on a double rod body
Most double rod cylinders are chosen for short, guided moves. At 75 mm the rod is long enough that the second bearing earns its place — the piston stays square through the whole travel instead of cocking near the end, which is where a single rod cylinder starts to wear its seal unevenly.
Why the double rod version
With a rod supported at both ends the piston cannot twist under an off-centre load, so a separate guide is often unnecessary. The second rod gives a mounting point for a sensor dog or a stop, and equal areas on both sides mean the same force and speed in each direction.
