SMC CQ2WB40-25DZ — CQ2W Z series compact cylinder, ø40 bore with 25 mm stroke, double acting with a rod at both ends. The rod passes right through the body, so the load stays square without an external guide.

Why the double rod version
With a rod supported at both ends, the piston cannot twist under an off-centre load, so a separate guide is often unnecessary. The second rod gives a mounting point for a sensor dog or a stop, and the equal areas on both sides mean the same force and speed in each direction — useful where a clamp must release with the same force it applies.
Short stroke, large bore
A ø40 bore at 25 mm stroke delivers high thrust in a body barely longer than the bore, which suits pressing and clamping where the part only has to move a few millimetres but must be held firmly.
