SMC IS10-01-L — IS10 series pressure switch with R1/8 port, set range 1 to 4 bar. Mechanical switch that outputs a contact signal when line pressure reaches the set point, and mounts directly onto a modular F.R.L. unit.

Choosing the set range
A pressure switch only works well in the middle of its range. The L version covers 1 to 4 bar, which suits most factory air circuits running at 4 to 6 bar supply with the alarm point set well below working pressure. For a set point above 4 bar, the standard IS10-01 range is the right one.
What it is for
A pressure switch tells the control system that air is actually present before a cycle starts. Without one, a machine can begin a sequence on low or lost pressure and stall mid-stroke with a part clamped. Mounting it on the F.R.L. set puts the sensing point right after air preparation, where the reading matters.
Ordering
Order by the full code IS10-01-L. The suffix fixes the set range and electrical connection, so both must match the switch being replaced. The IS10-01 and IS10-01-6 variants cover other combinations.
