Where the ISG differs from an air-only switch
Most pneumatic pressure switches are built for clean dry air. The ISG body accepts general fluids, so it also suits water, coolant and hydraulic oil lines. The IP44 enclosure means splash and dust are tolerated, which is what allows it to be mounted on the machine rather than inside a panel.
The indicator lamp
The built-in lamp shows switching state at the device, so a technician can see whether the set point has been reached without tracing wiring back to the PLC. On pump and coolant circuits, that is usually the fastest way to tell whether the switch or the line is at fault.
Typical use
Pump discharge monitoring, coolant and water line interlocks, hydraulic pressure confirmation, and any pressure alarm point that sits out on the machine.
