Force at ø100
A ø100 bore develops roughly 4,700 N at 0.6 MPa. With only 40 mm of stroke this is a force application rather than a transfer — pressing, clamping, or holding a die — and the short travel keeps the overall length manageable for a cylinder of this size.
Rod flange mounting
The flange sits at the rod end and bolts through a plate, so the thrust goes straight into the plate rather than through a bracket and into a frame member. At 4,700 N that matters — a foot mounting at this bore puts a substantial moment on the bolts, while a flange takes the load in line.
Supplied as body plus flange
The MBF code is the MBB body with the matching flange bracket fitted, ordered as one item rather than two. If you already hold the flange, the plain MBB100-40Z body can be quoted on its own.
