SMC MXQ12-50A — MXQ series air slide table, ø12 bore with 50 mm stroke. Guide rail and table are one integrated body running on a recirculating linear guide, so rigidity and accuracy come from the unit itself rather than from what it is bolted to.

Why a slide table instead of a cylinder and rail
Building the same function from a cylinder, a linear rail and a coupling plate means aligning three components and living with the stack-up of their tolerances. A slide table arrives aligned — the piston drives a table that is already running on its own guide, machined as one assembly. On a pick-and-place head or an inspection station, that is the difference between repeatability you can specify and repeatability you have to find by adjustment.
Recirculating guide
Recirculating ball guides carry load in all directions, including moment loads, and keep their accuracy over long service. A plain bushing slide is cheaper but deflects under an offset load — which is exactly the load a table usually carries, since the work sits above the guide plane.

Short-stroke pick and place, part transfer between stations, inspection and measurement positioning, and small assembly presses.

Order by the full code MXQ12-50A. Bore, stroke and end configuration are all in the code — the A suffix specifies the stroke adjuster arrangement, and end lock and symmetric variants use different codes. Bores from ø6 to ø25 are available in this series.
