Cross roller guide
Cross roller guides use cylindrical rollers set alternately at 90°, giving line contact instead of the point contact of a ball. That carries load in every direction with almost no play, and the motion is smooth rather than notchy at low speed. On precision assembly — placing a component into a socket, aligning an optical part — that lack of rocking is the whole point of the unit.
Dual rod construction
Two pistons work in parallel rather than one, so the ø8 body produces about twice the thrust a single rod cylinder of the same bore would give. That keeps the table small while still providing usable force for pressing and inserting.
Typical use
Precision assembly stations, small component insertion, optical and electronic part placement, and inspection positioning where the table has to move to the same place every cycle.
