Long stroke on a mini cylinder
250 mm is a long travel for a ø20 ISO 6432 body, and it is where the air cushion stops being optional. Without one the piston arrives at the end cover at full speed every cycle; with it the last few millimetres are decelerated, which is the difference between a cylinder that lasts and one that hammers itself apart.
Why ISO 6432 matters
Mounting dimensions, rod thread and port positions are set by the standard, so an ISO 6432 cylinder from any maker drops into the same bracket. On an old machine with a failed mini cylinder of unknown make, matching bore and stroke to this standard is usually enough to get the right replacement.
