Why zero differential pressure matters
An ordinary pilot operated valve needs a minimum pressure difference across it to lift the diaphragm — typically 0.02 MPa or more. On a gravity-fed tank line, a recirculating loop, or any circuit that has to open with no head, such a valve simply will not move. The VXZ uses a mechanically linked pilot so it opens from zero, which makes it the right choice for drain lines, tank outlets and low pressure water circuits.
Fluid and body material
The series covers hot water and hot oil as well as cold service, and the body can be specified in aluminium, resin, brass or stainless steel to suit the fluid. Resin bodies are also available with one-touch fittings, which saves threading on plant water lines.
Typical use
Cooling water supply and return, tank drain and fill, coolant circuits, and hot water lines on process equipment.
