Suction flow and noise
Suction flow is 50% higher than SMC's other single-stage ejectors, so a pad picks up faster or a larger pad can be run from the same unit. The high-reduction silencer takes the exhaust noise down without choking that flow — on a machine with a dozen ejectors firing continuously, that is the difference between a cell an operator can stand next to and one that needs hearing protection.
Why an ejector instead of a pump
An ejector has no moving parts and no motor, makes vacuum instantly at the point of use, and costs a fraction of a pump installation. It consumes compressed air while running, which is why the energy saving versions in this series exist — they cut supply once the set vacuum is reached, reducing air consumption by up to 93%. This code is the standard version without that function.
