Overview
Coil surge suppressor modules for Schneider Electric TeSys contactors. LAD4 and LA4 modules clip onto the contactor and use RC circuits, varistors or bidirectional diodes to absorb the voltage spike produced when the coil is switched off. This reduces electromagnetic interference and protects PLC outputs and other electronic control devices that drive the contactor coil. Suppressors are selected by contactor size and coil voltage, and the suppression method affects drop-out time.
