SEAH ESAB NiFe-2.6 Cast Iron Repair Welding
A nickel-iron stick electrode is used for welding cast iron, including repair work on thick castings and for joining cast iron to steel. Maintenance crews and foundries use it on machine frames, housings, pump bodies and other castings where extra strength is needed.

- Use short beads and allow the casting to cool between passes
- Peen the weld lightly while hot to relieve stress
- Clean grease, paint and casting skin from the weld area first
