The problem this solves
Below about 50 mm/s a standard cylinder starts to stick and jump instead of moving smoothly — the seal grips, pressure builds, the rod breaks free and overshoots. That stick-slip makes slow feeding, dispensing and gentle pressing impossible to control. The Y series uses a low friction seal and construction that holds steady motion down to 5 mm/s, verified to JIS B8377, and in both directions rather than only on extension.
